Before the mobility
Before departure you are required to:
- complete a placement test in the European Commission’s „Online Linguistic Support – OLS” system,
- sign a scholarship agreement in the Office of International Relations of the University of Warsaw or by mail,
- sign a scholarship agreement in the Office for Cooperation Abroad of the University of Warsaw or by correspondence, agree on a Learning Agreement with the mobility coordinator, taking into account the differences between the programmes.
Outgoing Students Guide
Step 1: Application
Choose up to three universities from the partner institutions list. Before applying, visit their website for eligibility criteria and language requirements.
Step 2: Required Documents
In order to complete your application, you will be required to submit the Application Form, your resume, Motivational Letter, Language Certificate (as required by the chosen university), Student Section Statement, and Erasmus exchange statement. Step 3: Before The Mobility
Once your mobility is confirmed you will be required to complete Before Mobility Learning Agreement and get in touch with your host university. Research available courses and accommodation and get ready for your exchange!
Step 4: Learning Agreement
During the mobility, you will be required to submit During Mobility Learning Agreement in case there are any changes to your study program.
Step 5: Exchange
Make the most out of the academic journey! Remember to network and truly enjoy your time abroad – try learning a new language, making new friends, discovering new hobbies, and traveling around!
Step 6: End Of Mobility
Upon returning to your home university remember to submit all the necessary documents to finalize your mobility, such as your Transcript of Record, which will be the confirmation of your academic achievements.
The responsibilities of a student qualified for exchange include:
- Completing all of the steps required by BWZ, the host university, and the faculty coordinator,
- Drafting the study programme agreement (LA),
- Selecting appropriate subjects for the course of study,
- Completing 30ECTS per semester,
- Register for and pass the diploma seminar,
- Caring for the good name of the University of Warsaw,
- Finalizing the trip upon return with BWZ and Departamental Coordinator.
Extension of mobility
At your request, we can extend your stay at the host university with prior approval of:
1) The thesis supervisor,
2) Head of Studies,
3) Mobility Coordinator.
The Head of Studies may designate programme differences to be completed by students extending their mobility, regardless of the number of ECTS credits completed.
Cancellation of mobility
An Erasmus+ exchange trip will be canceled if, at the time of departure:
- You are repeating a semester,
- You have more than one conditional pass or do not fulfill the criteria for departure with one conditional pass,
- You are on dean’s/rector’s leave,
- You do not have the status of a UW student,
- You do not sign a scholarship agreement at the IRO (International Relations Office of the University of Warsaw).
