Bilateral Exchange Recruitment

Candidate’s profile

Only students with a minimum average of 3.49 can apply for the bilateral exchange programme. Students with an average below 3.49 can leave with the special permission of the Head of Studies. The average for first-degree students is the average from the year of studies preceding the qualification, for second-degree students – from the first-degree diploma.

Participation in exchange programs

Bilateral exchange program students may apply for departure:

✓ Undergraduate students – 1st year → Mobility: 2nd year winter semester

✓ Undergraduate students – 2nd year → Mobility: second year summer semester or third year winter semester

✓ Undergraduate students – 3rd year → Mobility: 1st year (2nd year) winter or summer semester – conditionally (see point 12 of the Bilateral Exchange Regulations)

✓ Graduate students – 1st year → Mobility: 2nd year (winter or summer semester)

  • Third-year undergraduate and second-year graduate students must have the supervisor’s consent to mobility in the summer semester
  • Additional documents confirming the student’s activity (volunteering, conferences, etc.)

The knowledge of a foreign language, its level and type of certificate should be in accordance with the requirements of the selected university. The exact requirements should be available on the website of the selected university. It is the student’s responsibility to get acquainted with the requirements of the partner university. 

Choice of the university

The student selects a maximum of three universities from the list of WNPiSM agreements in order from most to least preferred, taking into account the required language proficiency and subject offer of the host university. Students from all majors administered by WNPiSM have equal access to all Faculty agreements.

Departure Regulations

It is the student’s responsibility to familiarize himself/herself with the Regulations of Bilateral Exchange before submitting a recruitment application for an exchange under the program of the bilateral agreement.

Recruitment for exchange under the program of the bilateral agreement in the academic year 2024/2025 will be organized in two rounds.

Documents should be submitted in person – in room 309 in Auditorium Building during office hours. 

Eligibility conditions for:

  • Students with citizenship other than EU or EEA countries

Students with citizenship other than that of a Member State of the European Union or the European Economic Area are required, in connection with their intended stay as a participant in a bilateral exchange programme, to check the rules relating to entry to the territory of the host country.

  • Tuition fee-paying students

Students of paid studies administered by WNPiSM are obliged to pay the tuition fees for the course of study at WNPISM also for the period of the exchange.

  • Third-year undergraduate students

Students in their 3rd year of studies at Bachelor’s degree can participate conditionally in the qualification. The condition of the trip is documenting the continuation of second-cycle studies in the fields administered by WNPiSM.
The trip is possible only in the summer semester of the academic year 2021/2022. In justified cases, the Dean’s Plenipotentiary for International Cooperation and Research Programmes and the Mobility Coordinator, after consulting the Vice Dean for Students/Director of the Teaching Unit, may grant permission for the trip in the winter semester of the first year of the second degree studies.

  • Doctoral School participants (doctoral students)

Participants of Doctoral Schools are entitled to participate in the qualification, provided that:

  • the agreement with the host university relates to the exchange of third-level students and the relevant academic discipline;
  • they will have the approval of the supervisor and the Director of the Doctoral School. Doctoral students may participate in a research project, but during their stay at the host university, they must attend classes and obtain the required number of credits as agreed in writing with the supervisor and the Director of the Doctoral School (if applicable) and between the universities (within the Learning Agreement). 

The minimum number of ECTS credits (after conversion) is at least 10 per semester.
